Excellent Picture in a…

Overall:
This TV has the best picture I have ever seen. The black levels are so accurate that it makes watching dark scenes enjoyable again in a dark room. The TV is installed in my basement, so its a dark room, but when I turn on the lights down here, there is a noticeable difference. I believe this is why TV manufacturers keep wanting to make OLED panels brighter and brighter for rooms with a lot of light. I don't need more brightness in my basement and its perfect the way it is.
Installation:
The installation did not go smooth. The wall mount instructions were similar to IKEA - not very detailed. Where we struggled was mounting the wall mount to drywall and wood studs. The plugs that come with the TV are certainly not for drywall - I made a mess of my wall trying to install them. Why would LG create a $4,500 TV and not give you the appropriate hardware to install it? I had to make a trip to the hardware store and get the correct drywall plugs. After reading other reviews, I can see I'm not the only one who experienced an issue here..
TV Setup:
Following the on-screen instructions to setup the TV was pretty straight forward. Hats off to LG here.
LG TV Remote:
My biggest gripe with the remote is that it is not backlit - what does it take to add a couple of LED lights, so that you can see the remote in a dark room? Other than that, it works great.
Logitech Harmony Elite Remote:
Using the TV with the Harmony Elite works well. There was no 2022 G2 TV in Logitech's inventory to pair with as of yet, so I had to pair it with the 2021 G1. Logitech is getting out of the remote business, so there is an opportunity for LG to step up their game.
Default Sound Issue:
The sound at startup or changing inputs kept defaulting to the TV, not my YAMAHA RX-679 audio receiver. I researched online if this was an issue that others experienced and it was. I had to turn off the Quick Start feature for this to no longer happen. No issues since.
Gaming:
I hooked up my high end gaming PC to the TV and running 4k @ 120 fps was pretty smooth. This TV I believe would appeal to the average gamer on console as the experience was great. The TV switched over to Game Optimizer mode instantly and utilized AMD FreeSync. I'll still stick to my gaming monitor and run at ~240 fps in 1440p.
Nvidia Shield 2017/2019:
The Shield Experience was great - smooth and no issues.
I really wish I could get another 65' LG G2 for my main floor. Then I could complete the full LG experience.
