Induction is lightning…

This is my first experience with an induction cooktop. I have always preferred gas over electric because regular electric stoves are really bad. Electric is slow to heat up and difficult to regulate, gas has that instant control visual feedback, but it is slow to cook anything. Boiling a pot of water for pasta can take 10-15 minutes. I became so impatient, that I used to boil the water in an electric kettle before putting it into the pot!!
So, now to induction...There is simply no comparison here. It heats up ridiculously fast. A frying pan heats up to 500 °F in about a minute. A large pot of cold water will be boiling in less than 5 minutes!! No more kettle needed. I will never go back to gas!
One thing to remember is that you cookware needs to be suitable for induction cooking to work. I happened to be in need of a new set, so it was easy for me to pick something compatible,
Cleanup is a breeze. No more disassembling the flame rings, just a simple wipe down with soap and water, or a ceramic cleaner if needed. Very easy.
The air fryer is nice. Again, this is my first time experience and I do like the added crispiness it puts on wings. It's not any quicker than using a regular oven, but the food does cook better.
I really like the smooth, sleek design, and the controls at the front mean I no longer have to reach over hot pots and pans full of food to change the temperature.
I haven't found anything to complain about so far. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other cooking modes during this campaign.
