Super Quiet and Love the…

We decided to replace our old dishwasher with this Samsung dishwasher because our old one couldn't clean well.
Installation: Installers didn't install it properly and we woke to water flooding under the cabinets and a little onto the tile. Different installers from same company came the next day and fixed it and ran a quick cycle. My wife comes home that day and runs the dishwasher and we get a 5C code which is a drainage issue code, so we call Samsung.
Samsung Support: A tech came out the same week to come and troubleshoot the issue and the Samsung Engineer recommended to the Tech that we route the drainage directly to the disposal instead of air gap since the Test Cycle completes when the drain is disconnected from air gap and drains to a bucket. Got a quote from a plumber and he is doing that for $167, but he doesn't see why that is the problem since the pump should be strong enough to pump to air gap or high loop to disposal. Hopefully the code goes away once the plumbing is complete.
Dishwasher: The dishwasher cleans the dishes WAY better than our old dishwasher that was from 2009. Not to mention, it is a lot quieter. I love the fact that you can safely wash and dry plastic without damaging them. This saves us a lot of time of hand washing dishes over the sink. The 3rd rack for utensils is such a great idea that takes up so little space. The center adjustable rack is also great in case we have some large pots or items we need to fit on the bottom rack.
SmartThings App: I love the smart things app. There are soo many cycles to choose from, but you just use the Washing Guide in the app and select what items you are washing and the app will send the recommended cycle over to the dishwasher.
Overall: This dishwasher outperforms our old dishwasher in every way and it is more energy efficient. The adjustable height and lever for the center rack and the fold down areas provide many options to organize your dishes. The only gripe I really have is with the weak drain pump. I don't see why we have to pipe the dishwasher directly to the disposal, when the manual says you can use an air gap.
