Great, quiet dishwasher…

Before delivery, I was hoping to be able to find installation instructions online to know what the installation requirements would be, but I could not. Installation went well, but I needed to remove the screws and re-level and center the unit in the opening. It has a nice black rubber gasket around it that fills the rest of the opening so debris doesn't get in the gaps along the cabinetry.
The dishwasher was easily added to the SmartThings app (I have a lot of other Samsung and other smart-home devices already in SmartThings, as well as a SmartThings hub. You can set your favorite cycles in the app and send to the dishwasher. It also has a tablet count-down timer with an alert at 5 tablets remaining so you can purchase more.
The dishwasher itself is beautiful, with a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish. It has 3 lights on the door above the handle to show the status wash-rinse-dry. You can also see the remaining time on top if your installation allows you to see underneath your countertop, as well as in the SmartThings app.
The three racks are great, with two exceptions: The middle rack can be raised or lowered, but both sides of it must be either in the upper or lower position; you can't have one side in the upper position and one side in the lower position so you can put tall dishes on one side of the lower rack and the other side of the middle rack. The door will not close. Also, the top rack can't fit a chef's knife standing up, or a chopper or potato masher. The rack doesn't adjust to fit these larger items, as they do in some other new dishwashers with a third rack. I'm using the upper rack for all flatware, rather than wasting space on the bottom rack with the utensil basket.
There is no user manual included with the unit with descriptions of each cycle, which would have been nice. For normal washes, I just select the Auto cycle with SmartDry set on high. The dishwasher is super quiet (as expected), washes the dishes very well, and dries fairly well with the SmartDry, though there is still water on plastics and the tops of bowls and cups. The door opens to vent at 10 minutes remaining, which is great. I think I should install some sort of protective barrier underneath my solid-surface countertop, as there is a filler piece of wood installed underneath it (not visible). My flatware washed in the upper rack had black marks where they touched the plastic tines, but wiped off with a damp cloth.
A nice dishwasher with a few small issues.
