So much TV for the money

The Hisense 65U8G is truly a giant killer. It has all the credentials that other TVs have costing twice the price.
The TV has all the next gen gaming features, two of the four HDMI v2.1 ports come with VRR and AMD Freesync Support. Its input lag is low which makes it the perfect gaming TV. Because it uses HDMI 2.1 it can support high quality input signals which is amazing for PC gaming. It also has ALLM which reduces latency, and QFR which makes switching resolutions super fast.
The TV uses a 120hz panel with hundreds of dimming zones which creates a startling picture. This is a true FALD (Full Array Local Dimming) TV.
HDR picture quality is top of the range, with around 1500 nits of peak brightness bringing out fantastic HDR highlights, it has plenty of color too and can show colors you've never seen before on a TV due to its Quantum Dot technology. The TV supports all the HDR formats, Dolby Vision used by Netflix. HDR10+ used by Amazon and even HLG which is the new broadcast TV format.
Most TVs at this price point don't have adequate hardware to showcase HDR like its meant to be seen, so the U8G really makes it look like other people are throwing their cash away buying other models.
Its no slouch for movie watching either, not only does the TV have fantastic HDR capabilities it also has inky blacks, and a very accurate picture out of the box (make sure you choose the theater night picture mode.
I bought this TV because I use a wide variety of content, and apart from the above sport is something that also is important to me. The TV has settings to clear up and smooth motion, so when you are watching sport, it gives the clearest picture possible. What's great about these settings is you can customize them exactly to your liking, and even use different settings for Sport compared to movies and TV.
It also doesn't matter the conditions you view in with this TV, the TV can get very bright so copes with reflections well, but at the same time if you turn the lights off you're in for a movie theater experience.
The TV smart side is much upgraded over the old H9G and includes chromecast support to easily cast from your phone or PC to the TV. It runs Android which is snappy and easy to use, with all the latest apps available. The remote is even backlit!
I definitely recommend this TV, it makes other TVs look very poor by comparison, and is incredible value for money.
I purchased this television at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
