Great fit for our computer…

We use our 3rd bedroom for a computer room. This room is approximately 11x12 and is usually one of the warmer rooms in the house, due to the computers always playing the role of space heater. As a result, we had to put a window unit into the room. The initial one that we used was one that had been on the shelf in the shop of a family member. It had lots of age on it and had some rattles that we were unable to find. It was also approximately 12,000 BTU, so it was way oversized for our room. Because of these things, we were very interested in this unit.
I will start by saying that the worst part of the entire process was removing the old 12,000 BTU unit, since it was so heavy in comparison. Installing the Hisense unit was a breeze and took minutes. The part that took the longest was making sure we got the airgaps closed with the supplied adhesive foam ... another advantage over the old one.
The Hisense unit is quiet, is the perfect size to keep this room comfortable with the heat from the computers. I am sure it is also more efficient and since it is the proper size, likely uses way less electricity. My favorite setting is to set the fan on medium and the mopde to cool. The fan blows all of the time, this way, to help with circulation and then the compressor cycles on and off with temp. We use a setting of 72 degrees, since we do have central air, this room just stayed a little more stuffy prior to the addition of this unit. On this setting, the room cools to what I would call comfortable within a few minutes and then begins to cycle.
We are very happy with this unit and its ability to be controlled with the remote control so that it can be powered on/off or adjusted from anywhere in the room. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone with a small space that needs some cooling. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion
