My family and I tried this new red lentil pasta as a dinner side dish with our chicken parm. Personally, I enjoyed it and probably because I knew it was not traditional pasta and did expect it to taste like it was. The texture was firm (I cooked it the recommended amount of time but probably could have done two minutes longer) and the flavor was neutral and went well with red sauce. I like that it has protein and fiber and is more wholesome than traditional pasta. My family, however, did not really enjoy it. They found the texture too firm and craved a “regular” pasta. The nutritional content did not matter to them. I received this free to try but I would buy it again for myself and feel it would work very well in soup. A great option for gluten free friends. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.
