Pros:
Large Curved 32” 144Hz 1440P Panel
Not Excessive Price Point
Cons:
Not a 4K (3840x2160) Display
Not an Ultra Wide (i.e. 3440x1440) Panel
No FreeSync/G-Sync Support
No HDR/10-Bit
Looks fantastic, and the slight curvature is aesthetically pleasing while increasing immersion. Was concerned that it wasn't an IPS Monitor, but color reproduction is still pretty good with Samsung's VA Panel. For those who haven't experienced the advantages of very high refresh rate, it's truly revolutionary to upgrade from a 60Hz panel to 144Hz. Even if you aren't a stalwart gamer, just browsing the web or watching documentaries with SVP is breathtakingly smooth. If you are a gamer, having the much higher refresh rate improves immersion and makes gaming feel much more responsive.
At this screen size if not opting for 4K, it would be optimal to have a wider monitor to increase multi-tasking abilities and take advantage of the curved display for truly immersive gaming. On the other hand, the 34” SJ55W Ultra WQHD Monitor from Samsung does have an ultra-wide resolution with FreeSync but only carries a 60Hz refresh rate with a flat panel at a higher price tag. The 32” CJG5 hits the right compromises to provide a compelling set of features within a reasonable price point. You have to make trade-offs somewhere (Unless maybe if you purchase a 4K/144Hz Monitor for $1500+), and this monitor strikes a pretty solid balance.
