TONE Free FP9 (Black)
Performs as good as it…

I like the matte casing of the LG Tone Free FP9, as i feel that glossy case tends to attract fingerprints and grease.
The stem of the earbud is not too long, so the earbuds still look sleek, and I believe that such design helps to capture my voice much better when I'm using them for voice calls. I've had poor experience with other earbuds which are just round-shaped and sit in my ears, I've gotten feedback from my callers that they can't hear me clearly.
I was able to pair the FP9 earbuds effortlessly with my phone. When I unpaired from my phone and tried to pair with my laptop, despite following the instructions in the manual, the laptop was not detecting the earbuds. I somehow accidentally resolved it by pressing and holding the touchpad of either earbuds until the indicator light flashed Red, then the laptop finally detected the earbuds and connected to them.
The Active Noise Cancelling & Listen to Ambience Sound features are useful to me, as I'm able to toggle quickly between filtering surrounding noise and listening to my surroundings eg, when I'm talking to someone beside me without having to remove my earbuds.
What attracted me to the FP9 was the Plug & Wireless feature, which I believe no other earbuds offer this. I can definitely picture myself enjoying this feature on flights, without the restraint of the usual airline-provided wired headphones. It would be superb if the FP9 package includes a 2-pin in-flight adaptor. I'm also curious whether USB-C to AUX cable is easily replaceable if I damage or lose it. Can I use 3rd party alternative, or only LG-branded cable is supported.
Overall, I find the FP9 earbuds comfortable, and extra earbud tips of various sizes are included for individual comfort level customisation. Will have to test more rigorously to better determine the battery life, but so far the earbuds lasted me quite well for my frequent and back-to-back Microsoft Teams calls.
