Does the job well, albeit…

I was pleasantly surprised when I received a box of 5 additional filters all bubble wrapped and packed nicely from Philips as I had to purchase replacement filters after the free one that came with the mask was soiled after 3 days. As a teacher I speak a lot and have to speak quite loudly so I would say my mask usage is probably higher than most. Due to the fan, I don't have to change my mask as frequently; previously I use 2 masks per teaching day as the sweat/spit/oil accumulates quite quickly with almost nonstop talking... So I really appreciate having the fan to air out all these ickiness from my mask, and I feel that the mask filters are made to a high quality - it doesn't trap heat and moisture as much as compared to regular masks, and so it keeps my mouth and chin area dry and cool, and lets me breathe better as well.
I've reviewed the mask and think it's a great product but the biggest bugbear for me was the price... The filters are $39 for a box of 5, and due to my relatively high usage, I'd have to buy about 2 boxes each month and that works out to almost $80 per month. I am happy to pay this amount because (1) I got the device for free (2) I am at high risk of exposure (3) I care A LOT not to fall sick/get COVID... Barring that, I am not sure if others would be willing to part with so much money for this device, but for myself I have had a great experience using the mask and filter and will continue to use it, especially with my upcoming winter trip, I feel that the Philips Fresh Air Mask (and filters) give me the comfort and protection I seek in a mask.
