Good product but value…

To be honest, the product is a good idea. There are 2 layers to this mask. The first layer is an external layer that houses a detachable fan (very much like a laptop fan). This fan runs at different speed levels. The inner layer looks very much like N95 material. The concept of this mask is to help to aid in breathing while attempting to achieve similar filtration efficiency. Here's a summary:
Pros:
+ Looks good and visually appealing
+Aids in breathing through forced convection. You can feel the difference if there's no leakages in the mask.
+Possible to do light exercise with greater comfort when masked up
Cons:
- Too expensive as the 2nd layer is still disposable (Mask: $150, Filter: $35)
- Slightly heavy at the front due to the fan part
- Fitting wasn't as tight as N95. With the fan, the air is induced from the environment into your mouth cavity, which might be riskier. Proper fitting features should be used to really accentuate the perceived claim.
Would buy if there is a claim that it is more for value as a replacement to existing surgical masks which is super cheap and have a better seal. Also, design for people who exercise would be a good appeal for this technology.
