LG TONE Free FN7 (Black)
Now good sound quality…

After 3 days of using these true wireless buds, I am a fan! Have used them at home, while running and cycling.
The sound quality is far better than anything I have used in the price range. The bass is thumping (if you like it so), the highs are clear while the mids and vocals dont get lost. The 'urban' noise cancellation is pretty good as opposed to traditional ANC which has focused on the low frequencies. Using LG's app on the phone is quite rewarding as it lets you customize the sound to your liking.
The fit is snug and there is no discomfort after 2 hours continuous wearing.
Some things that LG can and must improve on:
- The left earbud consistently loses connectivity with the phone, for a few seconds each time, every few minutes. Highly disconcerting when you are out and about. There must be a software upgrade to fix this, unless the review unit is faulty.
- Battery life: the buds were at 50% after a 2 hour bike ride, ANC and ambient sound off. This is far less than the 7 hours on spec. Again, a software upgrade?
- The IPX4 rating does not inspire confidence in the buds' ability to withstand a quick rain shower when you are out on a run/bike. LG needs to improve this rating.
