A giant leap forward

I have been using an LG OLED CX for about 2 years and I was impressed about the colour depth and contrast and all the gaming functions which made it a “must buy” TV. I remember watching a UHD movie for the first time and I thought LG had made something very special.
Well.. as soon as I had the chance to try the G3 for the very first time, I had to reconsider what I thought “special” would mean to me. This TV is just from another planet.
I’m sure whoever have used an OLED TV, at some moment in his/her life, had to close the curtains to watch the TV on daytime. We all know that for how beautiful the colour depth, contrast and black levels are, the low brightness is what still leads people to buy a LED TV, and as an OLED TV consumer, I could only understand the choice… until the day the G3 came into play.
The brightness is unreal, colours are vivid and brilliant, definition is breath-taking, and all of this accompanied by very user-friendly software and a super-fast processor which make the apps and all the TV features a pleasure to use.
Gaming mode is fantastic, I like playing racing games and I did not notice any latency or lag under any condition. The high refresh rate gives you such a perception of the speed that you feel like you are inside a real race car. I am speechless, seriously.
Speaking about the look, what you see is just the screen, essentially there is no bezel.
It comes with no tv stand, just wall mount. This allows you to mount the TV flush to the wall so that you can pretend you have a precious canvas in your living room rather than just a TV. I am not too fond of this choice as I like to be able to turn the TV facing to wherever I sit to watch it, so I preferred to use a fully adjustable third-party wall mount instead.
Now the painful part.. cost! I am not going to lie.. This TV is expensive, .. But the real question here is: is it worth it?
This high technological piece of art is luxurious, and we all know luxury is not for everyone’s pocket.
However, there is something we need to consider: You can buy a cheaper C3 which is a fantastic TV, but again brightness is kind of a bugger, or you can buy a LED TV, but even if you go with the latest technology (QNED, Mini LED etc), your black is rather a pretended black.
With a G3 you get the best of both worlds and even if you have to buy ear plugs to relax you ears from your wife’s shouts for having dented your bank savings, you won’t regret your choice from the moment you turn on this TV.
