Samsung OLED S95C(55
One of the best TVs on…

Having owned numerous OLED TVs over the last decade, this was by far the most impressive out of the box experience; setup was relatively quick and hassle-free.
The TV itself is a very sleek, premium-looking dark slate which should look great in any household. There are thinner TVs, but many of those are prone to bending. This, at ~1cm, is I feel a great compromise between thin and rigid. The all-metal stand is hefty and should be well-suited to holding the TV, while also being easy to mount on even fairly narrow TV stands.
One of my favourite features of the S95C is the OCB (One Connect Box), and I don't understand why more manufacturers don't adopt a similar system. Rather than cluttering up the back of your TV in a spaghetti of power, USB and HDMI cables, all of your device/connection cables go into a separate box that can be stored away somewhere hidden or easier to access, and then you just have one cable going from this box to the back of the TV. It's a fantastic way of making your setup look so much cleaner, while also making it much easier to change things, if you want to add/remove a device, so bravo Samsung.
The Tizen system feels very responsive this year, and the app support should have you covered for all of your major music/video streaming and on-demand services, to ensure you can watch most things from the comfort of your TV without needing separate devices. The Tizen system can also recognise your Blu-ray and gaming console devices and set them up appropriately.
Audio performance on the S95C is very good for a TV. No, it won't replace a soundbar, much less a dedicated, multi-speaker home theatre setup, but for everyone else it will do a great job. It's a relatively hefty audio system by built-in TV standards and shouldn't have any difficulty getting the volumes that may be required of it.
But what about the picture? Wow... Simply incredible. A weakness of previous OLEDs has been a somewhat dim image in very bright living rooms. QD OLEDs like this S95C have improved massively here and this will be much more suitable for a lot more living rooms now. It may not go quite as bright as the brightest LCDs, but the picture will be much better in comparison. HDR is mesmerising, especially if you can watch in dark viewing conditions. Viewing angles are incredible, even if you're right off to the side, so another great choice for family viewing.
Quite simply one of the best TVs on the market. Well worth putting on your shortlist!
