Simply stunning. This washing machine looks absolutely amazing in our kitchen, out with now 'old fashioned' white appliance and in with the new modern silent and musical wifi-enabled beauty of a washing machine! The picture doesn't do the Graphite finish any justice; it really does look great against the extra large black-faced window. The touch and feel of materials also compliment the design, excellent quality buttons, panels and a very solid 'clunk' from the door. Add the modern touches, such as the digital knob and screen with touch buttons and that's a wrap.


Did I read that right, WiFi enabled? With connectivity made a breeze with the app, once paired and online, you can start your washing remotely and be informed of the remaining time, with a reminder when your cycle has completed. But even better, it also connects to your Alexa ecosystem to do the same, including announcing when the cycle is complete...now that is a game changer!! Whilst it is not essential, it's definitely keeping up with the times to integrate with the app & Alexa, especially when the machine is so quiet that you won't know whether it's still running!


This is my first experience with Direct Drive technology and what a difference it makes. If it wasn't for the water noise, the cycle of the machine would barely be heard...no whining, no whirring; washing is no longer a disturbance. Of course, when the spin comes on you hear the machine spin up, but by no means is it intrusive...get the feet balanced correctly and it barely wobbles!


So get the basics right, then add the modern features such as wifi technology, downloadable wash cycles, hygienic steam cleaning, add a large door for easy loading/unloading and finish it all off with some stunning looks (and a child lock!!). The only thing it doesn't do is also clean the kid's grubby fingerprints off the beautiful glass door! LG sure know what they are doing and have really got this one spot on!
