We unboxed this lovely headset to find a beautifully presented product with carry pouch that will be very useful when travelling across Europe as I work. The earpieces were protected for hygiene in the packaging and they are a sturdy design with mic that easily flips out when a call comes in.
Have started to test them on the laptop in day-to-day use and the call quality in the home office is good. Will be running further tests for roaming over the next few weeks and will report back. My old Logi headset with USB-A connector had a maximum of 10 metres roaming so really looking forward to the freedom these will provide when wandering around the house and garden.
Update: Have now tested with a wider range and with Microsoft Teams conferences with great results. The range and call quality really do make a difference to how you can work flexibly and not be tied to the desk.
Downloaded the Jabra Direct software and tried to update it to the latest version with mixed results - a reboot finally kicked it into life. Firmware can be kept up-to-date with the software.
Also tested it connected to my phone instead of laptop, even though Jabra don't support this. As it has USB-C, I could just plug it in as per my laptop and take advantage of the same 150m roaming features across all the audio capabilities of the phone!
Definitely worth the investment and looking forward to many months of full use.
