Stereo UC USB-A
Surprisingly impressive…

Given that in recent years, most of my work has now transitioned to being done from home, I felt it was particularly apt that I reviewed a product that was integral to my WFH set up.
Overall, I thought that the Jabra Engage 55 Headset performed really well. I had known about this brand for awhile, but had never been a regular user of its products, so I was pleasantly surprised at the performance and audio quality of this model - perfectly crisp and crystal clear sound.
I was impressed at the balance between how lightweight it was vs. the durability of the materials – for something so seemingly light, I had expected it to be flimsy – but I was wrong! Although I have only used it for a couple of weeks, it's managed to withstand a few accidental drops on a hard floor, some minor water spills and being (temporarily) stolen and gnawed on by my curious dog.
I found the headset comfortable to wear even for long durations of time, and I liked the aesthetic and design – minimalist and sleek, which was great for professional work video calls.
The battery life was reasonably good and comfortably lasted me an entire day of pretty constant usage (although I probably wouldn't put it past this, so would charge it daily as a precaution, to avoid running out of battery on day 2). Recharging is quick, however, and it doesn't take too long to get back to full battery capacity again.
One thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fact that the headset is charging port is micro USB. Personally, I don't use this all that often nowadays, so would have preferred in alternative port type. Other than that, the price is pretty steep and it's not a cheap investment compared to competitors out there which may offer the equivalent of these features (and possibly more)!
All in all, I would probably recommend this product to a friend and I'd happily use this brand again… but probably not at this price point!
