Amazing colour and panel…

Quite simply an absolutely stunning TV and excellent replacement for my old Laser projector that has a super large image but lacked colour and depth. This is simply not the case for this TV. The HDR content in 4k ( The Revenant) looked absolutely lifelack with amazing inky blacks to super vibrant eye popping whites from the snow scenes. The colour range and clarity simply has to be seen to be believed. I have had the C1 oled previously from LG and this compares almost on par and considering this is not an OLED that is simply outstanding. The panel in this also boasts an impressive 120hz refresh rate meaning its also perfect for gaming. I play valorant and the colours on this have never looked better. See screenshot. The VRR and game features such as the ability to set your playing in a dark room and thus lowering the brightness along with a blue light mode to reduce eye strain make it healthier to play games for a good period of time. The built in speakers offer a decent soundstage if lacking a little in bass range but this is to be expected on a modern slim tv. While I mainly use the TV for local playback from a nas and pc the built in webos does allow plex to be loaded and also netflix and youtube. The apps feel snappy and load quickly with no slowdown. The TV tuner for Freeview HD also worked excellent with a snappy channel guide.
Some slight nitpicks for this as not everything is perfect with any product are as follows. The stand for the TV is nice but lacks any adjustment at all for any angle or tilt and also feels like it could of been a bit beefier as this TV weighs 42kg with the stand. This also means you need a BF tv unit to hold the weight of this or a seriously decent wall bracket. The packaging is absolutely massive and unlike previous LG models wants you to lift the box over the TV and this is difficult unless you have really high ceilings and are at least 6ft tall. Previous LG models has a box that opened like a book. Attaching the stand to the TV means two people ned to lift it onto a flat table. Again your table needs to be huge and hold at least 40kg and both people need to be able to lift this weight.
