As close to OLED as you…

The 65” is a monster of a set with a beautiful design and thin bezels. It’s quite a heavy TV but the included stand holds it securely. The first setup was very straightforward from start to finish, helped by the nifty remote which acts like a pointer making inputting info like the WiFi password a sinch. The LG operating system is very slick and includes all the streaming apps you could ask for, the built-in ‘picture frame’ mode really makes the set stand out when it’s ‘idle’. The ability to control my SkyQ box from the LG remote is really convenient too.
The image on the screen is very bright and vibrant, and LG includes a range of picture modes to suit what you are watching, be it movies, sports or games. The blacks on the screen are as close to OLED as I’ve seen from an LED TV, making some of the ‘moodier’ movies a joy to watch. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good too but do tend to distort if pushed too much.
Being my first LG tv, I’d happily recommend this, however just be sure your room is the right size for a 65”, it’s much bigger than I imagined but perfect for the room.
