Stunning

The box wasn’t as big as I was expecting, which was good, it was actually smaller than what my previous 58” came in.
First thing I noticed when removing it from the packaging was how thin the TV was, actually think it’s thinner than my phone! Looks wise I’d have to say stunning.
Mounting on the wall was relatively simple, was just a case of removing the bracket off the old TV and fixing it to the new one.
Initial setup was also straightforward. The remote took a little bit of getting use to as you move the curser around the screen by waving the remote about.
Then it was time to view the picture, which I have to say was brilliant straight away. By far the clearest and sharpest I’d ever seen. Made my old TV, which was only four years old looked like it was in standard definition! Sound was also pretty good, although maybe not as good as my sound bar.
So my initial thoughts are it’s absolutely brilliant, would highly recommend it. Now it’s time to play around with the settings and see what else it has to offer.
UPDATE: After going more in depth with the settings I got the picture, colour & sharpness even better. One major setting I found that works best for football (fast moving pictures} was to turn the TruMotion off, which was the opposite to what it suggested it should be.
The sound was okay, although was expecting better after what I’d read about Dolby Atmos. Also strangely when I watched football in Ultra HD HDR you could barely hear the commentary over the crowd noise. I finally ended up combining my sound bar with the TV speaker, which took a bit of playing around with until the sound timing matched the TV.
Only major issue I discovered with the TV was that LG doesn’t support the BT App, thus not allowing me to watch BT Sport without subscribing to a much higher price through a set-top box.
