The best LG yet?

I have been using this TV now for just under 2 weeks and am very pleased with the results.
The model I am using is the 77" G2 and my comparison is against a 65" LG C9 from 2019, which I was always very happy with, but I was intrigued to see what the extra screen space and 3 years of tech improvements has bought to the table.
Firstly the overall picture is outstanding. Picture quality is great (if not much different to the C9) but the brightness and peak HDR highlights is noticeably better on this 2022 model. I have tested SDR and HD from a Sky Q mini box and can say that both are an improvement. Netflix/Disney+ streaming in Dolby Vision HDR are really where this TV shines though with excellent picture quality.
Another plus point is gaming. Playstation 5 looks excellent, and PC gaming at 120hz is wonderful. Forza 5: Horizon on Xbox Gamepass Ultimate (PC version) looks stunning in motion and the TV automatically detects that a game is being played and so you can see using the game optimiser menu that VRR is enabled and what frame rate you are getting. Hands down this is the best large screen on the market for gaming from any manufacturer and I can highly recommend it for that alone.
Other plus points vs my LG C9 are that the built in speakers are much improved and the virtual surround sound actually makes a surprising difference instead of feeling like a gimmick.
This TV is designed to be wall mounted and as such, does not come with a stand. Unfortunately the stand (at time of publishing) was not available in the UK and hence the reason my testimonial is slightly delayed, as I needed some building work completed before I could mount it on the wall. I've got to say that the design is excellent and the flush wall mount in the box is easy to put up and feels very premium. One minor negative is that LG told me back in April that this would be free to owners of the G2, but they have since clarified this will be an additional cost if required.
Web O/S is still easy to use, if a bit slower than my LG C9 model. I'm sure in time that LG will make improvements to the software, and I know from experience that LG support TV's with updates for many years to come, so you can buy safe in the knowledge that you can use it for many years without issues.
No coil whine to report. Overall I am very happy with this TV and would not hesitate to recommend it to people in the market for a high-end OLED display.
