Big step up from a 65B8

The LG 77G2 is literally a big step up from the 4 years old 65B8.
Image quality has been improved a lot, especially in PC mode and HDR10.
It's also way brighter due to the improved EVO EX panel and heatsink, providing better specular highlights with HDR content.
Motion is also improved during the years with internal apps, there's no need for TruMotion for me anymore, unlike on the B8 where I had to set Judder to -1 to have an acceptable level, although this mostly personal preference rather than universal truth.
It has raised blacks in SDR and DoVi (this can be mitigated by setting the 2pt Low WB settings to -1), so hopefully LG will address them in future firmware updates.
Unboxing and putting it into place wasn't an easy task, the 77" model is pretty heavy and since there's no handler on it, the only way to carry it by the bottom of it that can cat the hand rather quickly, so gloves are required for it, along with 2 strong men.
Setting it up was painless otherwise, switching it with the B8. After enabling UHD Deep Colour for the HDMI2-ARC port to get 4k 60-120Hz, everything worked fine straight away on my setup. The older UHD Yamaha AVR works fine with it fortunately, after enabling Simplink on the TV, hence I can't comment of the sound quality of the built-in speakers.
The menu system has been changed since the B8, I prefer the old one, but it's not a big issue, since I can get used to it quickly.
But I definitely prefer the old remote compared to the new one.
Now I slowly break it in, I'm pretty sure the image quality will be even better after couple of weeks. So, overall I highly recommend the whole 2022 LG OLED lineup to anyone who wants to enjoy movies and TV shows.
