Delivery was smooth - 2 man Panther team who supplied a 2 hour time window the night before and called around 30 minutes before arrival.
I bought this to replace an older 55" LED TV and was tempted to use the same wall mount, however a dedicated one was included in the box which allowed the TV to be mounted flush to the wall so ended up using that instead.
Instructions were clear and had a link to a video tutorial - but a few more details would have been appreciated. I needed to use an 8mm drill bit for the rawl plugs and the provided template only covered the top half of the tv so I needed some careful measuring to make sure when mounted there was enough clearance for my central mantelpiece speaker.
Actually attaching the tv to the bracket proved a little tricky. There are tabs supplied which you attach to the bracket and the tv - but as it's so close to the wall it's a little tricky to line these up and look behind the tv. There was a sense of relief when I heard the satisfying click as it landed in position.
It's worth noting that it's much easier to run the cables prior to wall mounting as it's so flush - and make sure you have a long enough hdmi cable as with such a big tv a little bit of extra length is needed. As you look at it, the sockets are on the left hand side and all my AV equipment is on the right hand side so this added to the distance. I have previously used 2m cables but need at least 3m now.
Setup was a breeze after creating an LG account. QR codes provided on screen allowed me to use my phone to complete all necessary stages. I'm using it with a virgin 360 box and an AV receiver and had trouble trying to use the supplied LG remote with those devices. There is a set up stage which helps with this but I couldn't get it to work and as a result am still using two remotes (LG one for the built in TV features / apps and the virgin one for sound / channels)
Out of the box, the picture quality was excellent - across SD, HD and UHD channels, there are a multitude of options to tinker with but I haven't found the need to do this just yet. I am also keen to see some live sport to better assess the motion capability.
WebOS seems to be very responsive and has a clear interface - with the added benefit of being able to control my IOT light bulbs which was a nice surprise.
Overall, I think this is an outstanding tv - and I know I've only scratched the surface so will update more once I've had more time to explore the additional features.
