Absolutely stunning picture…

We took delivery of our new LG OLED C2 65” TV a week go now and I have to say we totally love it already.
Unboxing the TV with my partner was straight forward enough due to the well designed packaging and it was a simple process to mount it on the included base stand. I was amazed at just how thin and light it really is compared to other TV’s this size (C2 is 50% lighter than the C1 apparently). It has a lovely premium look with a very nice modern matt grey finish on the back of the set and an incredibly thin screen.
After turning it on set up took about 10 minutes and was easy enough we didn’t need to use the guide as most instructions are on screen anyway. Once on though I was blown away by the absolutely stunning picture on this TV and still smile to myself in appreciation every time I turn it on.
The brightness of the screen and the colours are vibrant and rich when watching any any TV, movie or show so much so it I find it much more interesting and engaging. More over the blacks are truly black compared to my precious 65” LED 4K TV this set replaced which really makes for fantastic contrast and creates a totally immersive experience.
The LG menu system for navigating the Freeview TV channels as well as the built in Apps is the best I’ve seen on any TV by a long way. It is very fast and intuitive in part due to the ergonomically designed LG smart remote / pointer / roller with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Rokuten TV and Alexa buttons for instantly switching between apps. Switching on or off the TV, switching Apps, changing TV channels etc using Alexa built in to the TV combined with LG’s fastest A9 Gen5 AI processor 4K in the TV makes it fast and seamless as well providing more focus on the subject in the image than the C1 model.
The smart picture options on the TV range from Eco mode to Film Maker and the TV can automatically select the mode for you as it determines accurately what type of content you are watching and adjusts it to suit movies, TV series and gaming etc.
When you watch content with Dolby Vision and Dolby Sound it really comes into its own as the image brightens dramatically (C1 is around 20% higher compared to the C1). As far as the TV sets built in speakers that are okay but are no match for our Bose home theatre system which we still prefer to use it when watching movies etc for full surround sound.
In summary this is a truly stunning LG OLED Smart TV.
