A stunningly beautiful,…

Before this, my previous TV was a backlit LED 4K TV, and the difference is huge! With the C2, the colours are incredibly vibrant and full of life. It felt like I was looking through a window into someone else's world at times! Seeing blacks that dark is a new experience to me (as you don’t get true black on a backlit TV) and the fine detail across the spectrum of lights and colours is the best I have seen. I cannot understate how good the picture quality is across TV, movies and gaming. When switching to a games console, the TV auto switches on its gaming mode, reducing latency and also giving you control over some of the finer details such as VSS and colour detail
The unboxing itself is quite intuitive, with the box opening from the top, then you lift the box out from over the TV (rather than TV out the box). A nice touch which makes getting it out the packaging a breeze, but 2 people are needed to carry the TV to its final resting place as it's not the lightest of equipment. Once on the TV stand, getting it plugged in, cabled and up and running was easy enough. There is an installation instruction sheet, but no actual user manual, so knowing whether some of the bits are needed required a little guesswork (i.e. still unsure If I need the IR blaster attachment!). Overall though, you notice straight away that the build quality of this TV feels very good indeed.
The Smart ecosystem is a good one, with apps for all the VOD services you'll ever need as well as Alexa and google assistant integration, and you can move the cursor around the screen simply by aiming the magic remote around the screen, rather than pressing buttons to scroll through. I was surprised how easy this was and how well it worked.
The native sound is OK, as good as you are going to get from a TV, but not close to the sound quality you'll get from an external soundbar or speaker system. This TV doesn’t sit high off its stand though, so if you have a soundbar on the same level in front of it, it may well cover the bottom of the screen.
The only slight gripes I have with this TV aren't actually anything to do with the TV but with the remote - in that I couldn’t get the universal control to work with my Virgin Media V6 box or my games console, despite the menus claiming that it should. I spoke with LG support about this and they said this is unfortunately expected at this time.
Overall, an Epic TV, offering unrivalled picture quality, and with a ton of inbuilt features
