LG 75QNED91
Awesome upgrade

I have always wanted an LG TV ever since they became the market leaders, but was swayed towards my old TV last time due to mainly price but also due to the interaction between other devices I own.
Whilst my old TV has been an excellent workhorse for the last 3 years, this TV blows it out of the water, not only on picture quality, which is amazingly bright and crisp, but the software is so intelligent and interactive. The sound is also a lot better than unexpected considering it's so thin I would have expected the sound to be compromised, but its rich with a decent amount of base. That said i would still reccomend an external sound bar, I was able to connect mine really easily via bluetooth, and also my headphones. The whole menu is very intuitive and feels really high end, as does the smart remote. I've played around with most settings, but to be honest you dont have to as the Automatic option adapts to what ever you are watching to make sure you are always getting the best picture.
I'm sure there are technical boffins out there who will say the blacks could be blacker and wax lyrical about the specs, but I cant find fault with the TV at all, and having compared it with similar priced comoetitors models owned by friends I would definitely choose the LG based on not only picture quality, but the overall experience of the TV.
I think the price is about right for a flagship model, but comparing it against cheaper LG models there does seem to bevbetter value options out there which offer equally good picture quality, but if you're a techno geek like me I think it's worth the investment for the extra bells and whistles, and the TV should be future proof for quite some time as 8k seems a long way off becoming mainstream.
