Having been using this for a couple of months now I have to say I am very impressed with it. Initial set up was a little fiddley due to the software update which took a while to install, but once that was done it was literally plug and play. The app makes it really easy to set the device up with the number of inputs in the home, set top box, Chromecast, firestick, and others added in matter of seconds. It also allows you to sync with your smart assistants and your music streaming accounts which is a great addition. Connectivity is slick with the eArc functionality and the app has a nice little feature that tells you the audio channel it is currently playing so you can make sure it is doing as it says it should. The initial set up also includes the ADAPTiQ headset which lets you pick 5 seats to calibrate the sound for your room to ensure you are getting best sound for the room you are sitting in. This is a great feature that previous soundbar I've had don't have, and really helps tailor the sound for the room you are using it in. Sound projection is great for a single soundbar without additional rear speakers, the Atmos feature really does project the sound into different areas of the room to fully immerse you into the sound. Sports sounds, like crowd noise, on board F1, and such are great too but I do feel the need for the base module and surround speakers to make sure you get that true cinematic experience. As a stand alone soundbar it's one of the best I've used and would highly recommend, but it is a big investment to get that full cinematic experience should you add the surround speakers and base module. It's as good as you would expect from Bose, they know what they are doing and they do it well.
