HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One
Light and Quick

Ever since lockdown, I've found the need to print at home more regularly. My old printer was heavy and clunky to bring out and setup. The Wi-Fi / wireless option never seems to work and finding a cable long enough to reach my laptop is non-existent.
Setup was definitely a chore. Two different laptop failed to connect to the app downloaded from the Windows store. So I used my phone. The app from the Play Store worked straight out the box. Registration and wireless setup was competed in minutes. I loved the fact that I could print straight from emails or my Google Drive, directly from my phone.
Printing is quick and surprisingly quiet without the quiet setting on. The input tray takes up to 60 pages of plain paper. It's has an integrated tray that's built into the body. It slides out and seamlessly slides back without an protrusions.
One of the first things I noticed was how compact it was. It's footprint was significantly smaller than my previous HP and Canon printers. I love that it takes up less space and is also lighter and less cumbersome. The downside is that it's made up of a lot of plastic. This is most noticeable with the front flip-out tray. It stores into place very securely and when you want to pull it out when you print, you really have to pull with some force causing this thin tray to bend. I fear it's only a matter of time before something cracks or snaps.
HP have a very clever 'HP Instant Ink' subscription service. The printer cleverly knows when your ink levels are depleting and will order the correct cartridge just in time. A free 6 month trial is included. I have already received an email to tell me my next ink shipment is on its way. The various subscription packages make it quite affordable.
