HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One
A Very Average Printer

As the title suggests, the HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One is a very average printer. I have used worse in the past and I have used better. Maybe my expectations were slightly misaligned with the product I had actually bought (probably should have done more research prior) but I was genuinely a bit disappointed upon opening the box, which by the way was extremely well packed. Physically, the printer felt a bit cheap due to the matte finish and small display. The buttons feel a bit gimmicky too. But perhaps what lets this printer down the most is the print quality. I printed a postage label and was shocked at how dull the ink appeared (the black looked faded as did the colours). I thought maybe this was just a one off but had the same result after a few pages. Additionally, I couldn't get signed up to the 6 month HP Ink subscription trial either. I tried multiple times, even phoned HP, and could only either get 3 months or an error page. I think I might be past eligibility now (need to claim with 14 days of activation).
But it isn't all bad. The printer is extremely easy to set up - it was up and running in less that 5 minutes. When paired with the HP Smart App, it is extremely responsive to printing and scanning (I have had printers in the past whereby there is a delay when clicking print / scan on the app) so you can complete your tasks pretty instantaneously. Furthermore, the scan capability itself works perfectly and is discretely hidden under a slim lid.
Overall, this printer receives a 5/10 from me. If you are using this printer for a few unimportant documents a month then it will suit you perfectly. However, if you are using this printer for printing work related documents, I wouldn't advise. Whilst the printer looks appealing, the print quality itself is pretty poor.
