Just wow!

I have seen the C1 in shops prior to joining the campaign but it isn't until you actually start using it that you understand just how good the picture is.
Before this TV I had a standard low end 4k TV which I thought at the time was comparable to most 4k sets, boy was I wrong.
The first point to note is when you see it in the shops the store will most likely have it in demo mode which cranks up the brightness etc to draw you in. It is a false representation of what it is like at home which in my opinion is marvellous.
At home though I have been using the auto detect feature which knows if you are on a game or watching a movie etc. In the past I have avoided auto settings and used my own custom profile, which you can still do here, but the processor in this set is far superior to what I have used before and I have kept it on the auto detect.
In terms of the aesthetics the screen is wafer-thin and it is only when you get to the lower third that the weight comes in. Here is where the motherboard, processor, power and connections sit. The stand is a big plus for me because it is a single piece solid base. I have never been a fan of those bases that are spindly legs or a thin curve. I just think you have more confidence and security in one like this set has.
The remote did take a bit of getting used to for me but after a while I got used to it and now prefer it to a standard one. It works a bit like a wii remote where you wave it at the screen and it moves the cursor. Don't worry though the movement you do is very subtle.
The connection options are great and allow me to connect my TV box, ps5 and xbox with an HDMI left over if I ever need it. There are also the usual USB and digital optical connectors.
So finally the picture and it is the best looking screen I have ever owned. This is my first oled and the richness of the colours is stunning and because you get true black the contrast is amazing.
I have watched 4k TV and films both digital and physical. Both are great but my personal preference has always been for the physical option where possible as I think you always get a cleaner image. That is the same for me regardless of the screen I would use. The most impressive pictures for me have been when I play my ps5. The HDR and Ray tracing are something else on this set, of particular note is assassins creed valhalla and ratchet and clank. There is no hint of motion blur and it has a smooth framerate.
In summary this TV has everything you need.
