Great All round printer…

I went for the HP Office Jet Pro 8020e printer to replace my old printer I have had for a number of years now. Due to now working form home due to the pandemic and will be at least three3 days a week going forward when things do return to normal, printing at home is now more frequent. As well as my kids now at GCSE and above level at school there is a lot more schoolwork to print.
This printer was easy to setup and to start using, the print quality is great and print outs are fast. The HP+ service that gives the 2 years warranty when sign up to the instant ink HP+ is a great bonus and the instant ink means know what paying each month and have up to the chosen plan amount of pages to print, with any left over adding to your rollover balance to use another month. It also means ink will never run out as new cartridges sent before required.
The feeder tray for scanner is very useful for scanning work documents and takes away the manual changing over pages after each scan. You can just add all the pages to scan into the tray and let it do its thing while you go and make yourself a coffee.
The only downsides I have found is with the app, this is sometimes slow to connect to the printer to give the latest information, it would also be good to see the number of pages you have already printed/have left without having to go to the instant ink website and login – this would be something I would have expected to see in the app. I have found a few times that when I have gone to print the laptop has the printer as offline and cannot connect to print but the printer is on and connected to the network, I have now even linked to the router via a network cable rather than Wi-Fi but have still had this issue occur which can be annoying and restarting the printer full often corrects this.
