Give it some time

I previously had smart watch, but I was never happy with the battery life, so I was eager to try hybrid, hoping that it will be “best of both worlds”, as mentioned on some advertising materials. Well, it is not the best of both worlds (not even close), but it is a good compromise between looks and smartwatch features that most people use.
After receiving this watch, my relationship with it went through three major phases. The first one was “I love the design! It looks like proper watch and feels good as well!”.
This phase was quickly overshadowed by the fact, that this watch was way “dumber” that I expected. I was in second phase. The watch has less “smarts” than cheapest fitness tracking bracelet I have ever seen. I was missing features from my properly smart watch all the time. I was considering putting this watch back in box. I was not happy with it.
I made decision not to give up and after a week or two I realised, that I love the fact that I need to use charger only occasionally, that I like sleep monitoring feature that just works, that I have no need to check watch battery level 3 times per day… Or even three times per week. This watch sits on my hand, show time, looks great and monitors my heath stats. It notifies me about calls and messages on my phone and does this in non-intrusive way.
I am in the third phase now: I really like this watch. In my mind it is not a smart watch, not even close. It is a smarter watch – good looking watch with right number of “smart” features blended in. Good enough for me!
