I was keen to receive and review the Philips Air Performer 7000i 2-in-1 Air Purifier and Fan for three reasons:. I am at hay fever sufferer, the recent family addition of a new puppy that sheds fur and I am the hot sleeper in the partnership.
The set up was fairly straight forward after I worked out which of my internet lines was the suitable line.
The wifi setup and app not only lets me control the unit but provided me with up to date information on air quality, temperature, humidity, filter cleanliness and more.
The remote has a magnetic base so can be placed on top of the unit so you always should know where it is but even if misplaced, the app does it all for you.
The look of the unit is a very neat and clean design and being bladeless, can operate in a more restricted area than a blade fan as well as safer and quieter than whirling fan blades.
Prior to receiving this unit, my sleeping set up was a 180 degree (only option) oscillating fan. This had issues as it was noisy and at times cast a cold draught onto my husband. As the Philips Air Performer 7000i has a rotating base, it offers up a swinging action of 45, 90, 180, 270 or 350 degrees via the controls or a slide mechanism via the app. This wide-ranging array allows me to control the oscillating air flow ensuring it only blows on to a sleeping me. Using the Sleep Mode option allows for a very quiet night.
The Philips Air Performer 7000i information states it can cool up to 70m2 and I have found that the unit has more than enough power to cool my open-plan living/dining area.
The unit has an AI function which cleverly reacts to the surroundings and modifies the operation controls as a result. This means a boost to fan speed when the temperature increases ensuring the unit operates at its most advantageous.
The air purifier assists with the removal of the pet hair that is floating about in the air and the App allows me to check the air quality of the air flowing through the unit so if
I see a spike I can take medical precautions.
The app retains air quality data of PM2.5, temperature, and humidity giving a great picture of what is happening in the home over time. This can be used to see what the patterns are over days and hours of the day.
I love this unit and would highly recommend.
