I was excited to unbox the Google Pixel Tablet and see what was on offer. I was not disappointed at all. Setting up the tablet took less than five minutes and I have been absolutely amazed at how easy and simple it was to set it up with the dock.
The Pixel Tablet is a simple-looking device, with an 11-inch screen surrounded by a bezel all around. It has a decent battery life as we tested this using FullHD video with full brightness and it lasted well under those conditions.
This is my first experience with a device from Google and I am absolutely in awe of the brilliant engineering, design, functionality, simplicity, and family friendly features of a device.
The magnetic docking facility is a big plus and is a functional and effective addition. The snap on snap off is really cool feature. The Smart Assistant is helpful to use hands free when you are cooking or even while lying on the couch listening to music.

Transitioning audio to and from the dock and the tablet is seamless — the tablet doesn’t pause or require a confirmation; it just plays a soft chime and moves the audio over. It’s easy to line up the tablet on the dock and it’s similarly easy to remove, and the magnets are strong enough to hold the tablet with confidence.
The speaker dock has good volume and bass to really lift the sound quality of the tablet and to fill out a room with decent quality sound. This small impactful addition elevated my audio experience significantly, making movie nights and video conferences more immersive while the tablet is docked.
The one big advantage of the Pixel Tablet over the iPad is that it is much more useful as a shared device because it supports multiple users. You can have a single tablet in a common space such as a kitchen and everyone can have their own personal accounts on it locked behind their respective fingerprints.
The only thing lacking I feel is a headphone jack as you will have to either use Bluetooth or a USB-C dongle for more private audio.
I received this item at a reduced price for my honest opinion.
